HR Operations

Onboarding beyond paperwork: a 90-day plan

Combine compliant documentation with a structured first 90 days — and automate the admin.

Before day one

Collect documents digitally, link UAN for PF transfer, set up system access and equipment, and assign a buddy. Automating document collection and checklists is one of the safest early uses of HR automation.

Day one to week two

Explain priorities, introduce key colleagues, walk through policies (leave, conduct, POSH) and confirm how work is reviewed. New employees need context as well as instructions.

30-60-90 check-ins

Agree goals for each checkpoint and hold short manager conversations to surface what is unclear. Capture feedback to improve the programme for the next hire.

Protect employee data

Store onboarding documents securely with limited access, in line with the DPDP Act, 2023. Avoid sharing ID documents over chat apps.
